Just Kickin It.....

Well, hello. It's been awhile. We've been busy. Busy doing the following:
1. trying to find motivation to keep going on the house renovations....bless Colin...
2. praying to the Gods of Warmness and Sunshine to pleeeeease come visit our house
3. keeping up with 2 very active and delicious babies

Even though I've been MIA....lots of fun junk has been happening around the Seneca tepee.

This little baby moose wanted to come say hi but I think he was nervous. So he just stayed across the street and stared.
I said "Cute!" and Colin said, "Tasty!".

While it hasn't been a balmy 60 degrees out like this Mama Bear would like....it's been nice enough to grill outside.

Go, Daddy! Go!

Look Ma! Look Pa! He's using his brand new birthday grilling plates. Perfecto!

While Bubs was in school, Claire and I did a little summer clothes shopping. We sent this picture to her PapaGa so they would know what to expect when we come to visit. This punk is ready for summer, my friends!

Colin went shooting one weekend and came home with a borrowed spotting scope. He set it up and we sat back and laughed and pointed as the kids tried to figure it out.

They asked us questions like,
"Mama.....how does this technologically advanced piece of hunting equipment function?"
and
"Father.....please, if you are so inclined, will you demonstrate the proper use of this astounding tool?".

Okay, not really. They each looked in an end and giggled for 5 minutes straight. And yes....we still laughed and pointed.

The Johnsons braved a night at our house for dinner. Within 5 minutes of being in the house, Uncle White was surrounded. Playing "high five" games with Uncle White is waaaaaaaay fun!

Claire especially loves her Uncle White.

The Ryders came over the next night for some pizza and root beer, delish! We had enough of the punks by then.....it's not child abuse people. It's a picnic!

A couple of days ago it was finally warm enough to play outside without full-on winter gear. Hooray!
Let's blow some bubbles guys!

I looooove my zoom lens. :)

Nice form Bubbers!

Does it get any cuter than this?!?!
Ummm.....no.

We took our bikes for a spin too. Go, Bubs, go!
The tongue hanging out is what it's all about.

Claire decided to push her trike and was clearly disturbed that her little baby hands got grimy. What a princess!

Hop Scotch was #1 on our activity plans....I'm pretty sure Bubs would love to have his own chalked out on his bedroom floor. This punk was allll about it! Look at that concentration!

Claire didn't quite get it.

Daddy made apple cinnamon pancakes this morning and the kids were super into watching him. As for myself....I lounged at the table, drinking OJ and didn't lift a pinkie to help.
Have I mentioned I love my husband??

We headed outside in the coooooooold to clean out the shed and sort our camping gear.
Colin tested all our junk to make sure everything was A-OK.

This is where Bubs gets his Power of Concentration!
And good looks.

Bubs and Claire tried out their "campin chairs" and they fit just right.....

....kinda like their Xtra Tuff boots. Yup, we were shopping for rain boots and Bubs INSISTED that she get matchy boots. She loooooves em.

Especially now that she looks just like her two favorite boys.
Princess? Nah....Future Deer Hunter!

Daddy passed his old hunting pack right on down to Bubs.
I think he'll be able to show Sissy a thing or two.

Parkin' and Partyin'

I asked the punks if they wanted to go to the park after breakfast the other day. After jumping and clapping and squealing in excitement....with a look of fear on his chubby little face....Bubs looked at me and asked, "Wait, wait. Mommy. Wait. Not an indoor park, right?". Isn't that just sad?! That's when you know it's time for Mother Nature to get her act together and start giving us some warm weather and sunshine so we don't have to go to any more indoor parks!
Indoor parks are for winter losers!
We wanna be summer winners!

And now for reason # 7498 why I love my camera: zoom lens!

Just look at these gems I got without them even knowing! Awwww....they were ALL BUSINESS....running and puffing all rosy-cheeked and knock-kneed.
Precious Punks.

They did take some time to ride the slides as hard and as fast as they could.

And apparently it's WAY more fun to do it with your mouth open and tongue hangin out!

I did call their names a few times to pose for a picture or two....

...Okay. That's a fib. I'd like to introduce you to my #1 Model Punk!
My sweet, beautiful Bubbers.

Oh, Claire. I didn't forget about you!

I had to include this picture of Bubs. He wanted to make sure that his Papa saw that we put his name on the bottom of his Buzz Lightyear, just like in the movie.
Awesome, Bubs!

And I also had to include this shot of Colin cutting trim for the wainscoting. Why, you ask? Simply because it gets me all hot and bothered when my man uses power tools and does math on the fly. He promises me he'll be working hard till the day he drops so lucky you! Lots more pictures like this comin your way!

Today we went to a birthday party of a little girl Bubs goes to preschool with. It was at the Alaska Museum of History and they have lots of cool things for little punks to play with! As for Claire, she didn't quite pay close enough attention when we walked in and here she is: seeing the giant stuffed lion for the first time.

I think this is a freeze frame of psychological damage....or maybe she's just wondering if her Daddy shot it? :)

They got to play in "archaeological dig sites" with sand and gravel made out of tiny bits of rubber. I'm thinking of investing in tiny bits of rubber and more shovels and buckets. These punks were entertained for the longest time! Oh, and Buzz Lightyear loved it too.

ROOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!

And here is a "Cave Bear" for your pleasure, too. Cool, huh?

Bubs' favorite part was the balloons everywhere. This boy loves a good balloon.

Snacks too! Wahoo!

Daddy and Claire decorated a crown with sparkly stickers and glitter glue. Precious.

There's the birthday girl, Sierra, getting cheered on by her Daddy for blowing out her candles.
Too cute!

Obviously, we had a great time.
